To Do...

Go to www.onebodygateway.com and click on the Gifts Assessment. This diagnostic tool, which will take approximately 25 minutes to complete, measures potential spiritual giftedness based on past experiences. A personalized and helpful report of the assessment's findings is available to print upon completion.

To Discuss with God . . .

Thank God for creating you with unique passions, experiences, and talents.

Pray about the top three or four spiritual gift scores. Consider some moments in your life when you have seen those gifts at work. Ask God to confirm to you the presence of those gifts or others.

Dedicate your gifts and passion to God. Express your openness for him to use you to impact other people.

To Discuss with Friends, Family, Running Partner, or Small Group . . .

Share some of your most important findings from the Gifts Assessment.

Ask for feedback and confirmation on whether or not they see those gifts at work in your life. What other gifts have they observed?

Converse about possible avenues of service - at church, in Austin, or around the world - for using those gifts.

To Do...

Retreat to a quiet place for 30-45 minutes.

Invite God to be present in the moment and allow his Spirit to "speak" to your heart.

Consider any areas of "holy discontent" in your life currently. If helpful, use the categories we talked about on Sunday morning:

Discontent with the World -- Is there an issue, cause, or situation in the world that arouse frustration our outrage in you?

Discontent with the Way Things Are Done -- Is there something in the church or in my community that I have the gifts and passion to do better than it is currently being done?

Discontent with my Trajectory -- Am I happy with the way my life has turned out, or do I sense that God is calling me to experience and accomplish more?

Discontent with my Community -- Do I feel the need for more or deeper relational connections?

Discontent with my Experience with God -- Is their a deeper spiritual level that God seems to be calling me to?

Let that holy discontent speak to you. Envision how you want your life to be different.

To Discuss with God . . .

Ask God to confirm, in some way, that this feeling of discontent is from him?

Tell him you are willing to respond in any way he leads.

To Discuss with Friends, Family, Running Partner, or Small Group . . .

Describe your sense of holy discontent; express a desire to take action.

Ask for feedback and confirmation on whether or not they see this discontent in you and if it might be from God.

Solicit prayer and advice on next steps.
